Members of the Sparrow Hospital Auxiliary gift shop committee have sharpened pencils, dampened markers and stuck red dot stickers on hundreds of items to make room for incoming inventory. A group of buyers have recently returned from Chicago with a bag full of sales receipts representing a host of items and new merchandise for fall, winter and the holidays.
“This is perhaps one of the most exciting buying trips we’ve had,” commented Kathie Clock. “It was difficult to quit the ‘we’ll take it’ mode. We’re looking forward to a busy fall and holiday season.” She was accompanied on the trip by Chery Goff, Nancy Moore and Judy Minner.
Ms Clock pointed out that sale days run from Aug. 15 to month’s end and all new merchandise will be on display shortly thereafter.
