SCH Derby Nite Ball goes the distance

Event raises funds for new ophthalmology program
And they’re off! Sparrow Clinton Hospital Foundation’s Derby Nite Ball puts the fun back in fundraising Saturday, Oct. 30, with fine dining, a silent auction and all the excitement of virtual horse racing.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. in the Banquet & Conference Center of DeWitt. Eight actual horse races, captured on DVD, are projected on a big screen throughout the night. Each contest features 10 horses. Players place their wagers at the betting window. Successful betters visit the Winner’s Circle and receive a payout in “funny money,” which can be used to bid on auction items later in the evening.
One of the premiere community events of the year, the Derby Nite Ball raises funds in support of Sparrow Clinton Hospital’s new ophthalmology program.
Join your friends, place your bets and dance the night away. Individual tickets are $50 or $100 per couple. Tickets include meal, beverage, gift bag and complimentary bets.
Corporate, community and business sponsorships also are available.
To purchase tickets, buy a table, commit to a sponsorship or to donate items for the fundraising auction, call the Sparrow Clinton Hospital Foundation at 989.227.3396.
