Mark your calendars for the third Wednesday of each month in 2011. For the third consecutive year, Carson City Hospital (CCH) offers its monthly Brown Bag Lunch Series.
Each month, CCH hosts a new, exciting speaker with topics ranging from inspirational and educational to important health-care advice. The Brown Bag Lunch Series takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Conference Room A in the hospital. Bring a lunch or enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and treats! No registration is necessary and everyone is welcome.
The Brown Bag session scheduled for Wednesday, August 17, is titled “Cootie Control” with Heather Schafer, R.N., M.S.N. Join Heather as she discusses both simple and sophisticated infection control measures. Implementing these measures can prevent transmission of disease in health-care settings, in the community, and in your home. Heather will discuss where germs harbor in the hospital, demonstrate proper hand-washing techniques, and will conduct a simple experiment to illustrate the spread of germs.
