This week the AgroLiquid showcased its new headquarters in St. Johns, Michigan.
The highlight of the new 57,000-square foot building is the IQ Hub learning center. The learning center hopes to bring plant nutrition and agriculture to life in fun, intellectually engaging ways. This will include a tractor simulator, an interactive soil test, and a kids’ corner. The hub will be open to the public, including for school tours, in the summer of 2014.

The building features a futuristic design with touches of agriculture’s past. This includes barn wood that was recycled from local farms and used for decoration. Aesthetics were a key part of the building process, but AgroLiquid also wanted an environmentally friendly building. With a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification, the facility will have almost no carbon footprint. In addition, 93% of construction waste is recycled.
AgroLiquid is a fertilizer company that seeks to do more than just fertilizer. We aim for improvements in environmental and human health. Many aspects of our new corporate office were designed for community use, including the conference center, commercial kitchen and the IQ Hub.
The company started in St. Johns, MI by mixing fertilizer with 5 gallon pails. They are now a national presence and have benefited many. Our continued annual growth has remained around 20% causing a large growth in employment. With production facilities in Michigan, California, Iowa and Kansas we now serve more than 40 states, Mexico, Canada and Belize.
The company’s strong commitment to the community has shown through our continued support of local 4-H groups and FFA chapters. The family owned company strives to be an industry leader through environmentally friendly farming practices. One of the most innovative farms in the area is AgroLiquid’s own research farm. The farm is almost 710 acres, with 580 tillable acres, and grows 28 different crops.

AgroLiquid employs 100 people and hopes to increase employment by 50% in the next five years. The new building has added office space to accommodate the growing staff as well as a conference center, research lab, coffee house, commercial kitchen, broadcast facilities, overnight rooms, and an exercise facility.
