Give candy and books for the holidays

Sinke Book Signing, Chocolate Orders, Gallery Attractions

Candy and books are long established items for gift giving and with the nearing holiday season, each is taking a prominent spot on the agenda of the Gallery of Clinton County Arts Council.
For almost a year now, locally produced Michigan Mints have been featured items at the Gallery offering a full inventory of milk, dark and white chocolates.  Council Director, Mike Muehlenbeck announced the introduction of the mints to the Gallery earlier this year and response has reflected a continuing growth.  “Many of our gift seeking customers were delighted to learn we carry a fresh inventory of Michigan Mints,” commented Muehlenbeck,  ”so now we’re accepting special orders for the holidays.”
Muehlenbeck referred to 6.2 oz. packages of mints for $7.00 each including selections of milk, dark and white chocolate.  Other selections consist of 7.2 oz. mixed chocolate mints for $8.00 or 2.3 oz. mixed chocolate mints or mixed cherry mints for $3.50.  Various sizes of boxed mints, 3.8 oz. to 19 oz. are priced from $6.50 to $20.00.
Orders for mints, with assured holiday delivery, will be accepted from now through Nov. 19 and may be placed by visiting or calling the Gallery, 989 224-2429.
Meanwhile, another holiday feature will be an exclusive book signing by Janet Sinke, Saturday, December 11.  As many local residents are aware, Sinke has gained national recognition for her exceptional series of children’s books centered on family activities and special occasions.  Her award winning publications have earned her extraordinary recognition in the field and she maintains a busy schedule of appearances and book signings.
“We are most pleased that Janet is able to include a visit to the Gallery on her demanding schedule.  I’m certain her presence will result in a very busy day,” commented Muehlenbeck.  Sinke will be at the Gallery from 11 am to 2 pm and will sign both current sales and previously purchased titles.
Persons interested in additional information on either of the scheduled Gallery events may call the Clinton County Arts Council Gallery, 989 224-2429.

St. Johns resident Janet Sinke, who has gained national recognition with her series of “Grandma, Grandpa and family” children’s books will hold a book signing at the Clinton County Arts Council Gallery Saturday, December 11.
