October 4th
The annual Hunger CROP Walk will take place at Maple Rapids UMC on October 4th.
Registration is at 1:30 pm and the walk starts at 2:00 pm.
We walk to end hunger across seas and in our own communities.
This year’s goal is $6,000.00, with 25% of that going toward the Elsie Food Bank, New Haven Church of the Brethren Food Pantry, Pompeii Baby Pantry, and the Basic Needs Center in St. Johns. Churches participating are Ashley, Bannister, Pompeii, Lowe, Maple Rapids, and St. Johns First.
We encourage and invite others to register and walk to end hunger.
A Cup Runneth Over soup ministry will provide soup after the walk for anyone wanting a warm meal.
