At America’s Homecoming Queen Pageant
St. Johns and the entire state of Michigan was well represented at the America’s Homecoming Queen Pageant, held in Memphis TN on July 20-24.
St. Johns High School alumna and 2012 Homecoming Queen, Meg Dedyne, was named third runner-up at the event that included winners from state pageants held earlier this year. It was the first time that a candidate from Michigan placed in the Top Ten at the national pageant.
Meg is the daughter of Jim and Heather Dedyne of St. Johns. She will attend Michigan State University this fall, pursuing a degree in journalism.
