Sunday, October 20
Get into the Halloween Spirit at the St. Johns Depot on Sunday, October 20 at 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Outside there will be a pet-costume contest, decorated-pumpkin contest and old-fashioned games to play.
Inside, the Depot will be transformed into a tableau of witches, ghosts, monsters, etc., many of which are walking around, playing games, building their own monsters and eating snakes – oops, snacks! Plus: the return of the Haunted Hallway.
All pets planning to participate in the pet costume contest, organized by Back Alley Pet Grooming, are asked to arrive by 12:30 PM to register their humans.
All entries to the decorated pumpkin contest should arrive already carved, painted or decorated at 12:30 PM to register with their humans and be placed in the Pumpkin Patch. However, please note that the Depot doors won’t open until 1:00.
In a great example of Community Unity, donated services are from Back Alley Pet Grooming, Ortman Photography, Face-Painter Sharon Shutes, Clinton County Arts Council, Briggs Public Library, numerous volunteers and Halloween Master, Dobby Everts.
There will be no charge, including for photographs; but donations to the Railroad Museum are always welcome. The gift shop will be open as well.
The St. Johns Depot is located at 107 E Railroad St. Johns, Michigan, 48879.
