Advance tickets – great Christmas idea
Rumors abound that Elvis evaded the mortal fate and struck up perpetual residence in Kalamazoo. That account has never been verified, but regardless of his whereabouts, members of Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary have confirmed that an Elvis appearance will occur in St. Johns on Friday March 21, 2014.

As a follow-up to last summer’s special showing during the summer concert series, a new Elvis’ stand-in will stage a two-hour performance at the high school auditorium under sponsorship of the Auxiliary. Jake Slater, an Elvis impersonator will recall the many Elvis songs and routines that continue to capture the fascination of audiences around the world. Diane Zuker, chair of the event, explained that the special show has been arranged as a fund raiser to support the Auxiliary’s $100,000 pledge to the emergency wing now under construction. “Elvis’ summer visit was well attended and we look forward to a full house when he returns,” she said.
To learn more about Slater’s Elvis, there’s ample time between now and the March date to visit his website: www.etajakeslater.com.
While the date and details have been confirmed, other arrangements are pending and will be announced after the new year. For now, the date – March 21, 2014 – and location – high school auditorium – are solid along with ticket prices and the evening’s program. Tickets will be sold in advance at $10 and $8 for adults and students, respectively. At the door prices will be $12 adults and $10 students.
The show will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and light refreshments will be available.
Advance tickets may be secured from any Auxiliary member or by contacting Ms Zuker directly. She can be reached at dzuker@casair.com or by phone 989 224-7169.
