One man was killed and his two passengers were injured in the early evening of Tuesday, August 14.
Twenty-two-year-old Jacob M. Zemla was flown to Sparrow Hospital following a two-car crash at the intersection of South Shepardsville and East Alward Roads. Zemla died several hours later.
According to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Zemla was driving westbound on East Alward and did not stop at the intersection with Shepardsville Road. He drove into the path of a northbound vehicle and was struck
Zemla’s passengers, a 17 year old boy and 16 year old girl, were taken by Mercy Ambulance to Sparrow Hospital with serious injuries. His passengers were from the Laingsburg area. The driver and lone occupant of the northbound vehicle was treated and released at the scene.
Clinton County Deputies were assisted by Clinton Area Fire and Rescue, Mercy Ambulance and Clinton Area Ambulance.
