The American Heritage Festival, September 24th and 25th, at Woldumar Nature Center is an annual autumn event that celebrates
Michigan’s rich cultural heritage – Saturday, September 24th from 10am-5pm and Sunday, September 25th from 12pm-4pm.
The Moon Family Cabin will be open all weekend for a live demonstration of life in the 1860s. There will be a variety of interactive displays, allowing visitors to saw wood, visit a French fur trader, see how railroads work, and much more.
In addition, there will be a live Civil War Camp Reenactment, as well as fascinating steam engine and sawmill displays.
The American Heritage Festival will also offer live music, horse-drawn wagon rides, a self-guided human history hike through Woldumar, pontoon boat tours on the Grand River, a local vendors market and much more.
Admission is $5 for adults and free for Woldumar members and all children under 12. Some activities may require an additional fee for non-members.
