Sparrow Clinton Auxiliary
The Sparrow Clinton Auxiliary made the first move toward funding the hospital’s new emergency wing, by making a $100,000.00 pledge and this year’s flower sale is one of the projects that serve as a seed to that commitment.
Displaying some samples of the day’s offering are, from left, Kim Kellogg, Sharon Hunt, Sam Hopko and event chair Cindy Knight.
Through the years, the traditional event has had various venues, but this year, as in the past couple, the RESA parking lot, across from MacDonald’s at Southpoint Mall is the location and the date is Saturday May 18. Chair Cindy Knight said, “We’ll have a variety of flowering hanging baskets and ferns, along with planter boxes. For those who wish to plant their own, we’ll have a good selection of flats in a full array of flowers.”
The sale extends from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until inventory is exhausted. Anyone wishing information or to place an advance order may contact Ms. Knight at 224-6106.
Aside from assisting with the ER pledge, proceeds from the flower sale and other fund raising projects, are all directed to extra or special needs identified by hospital staff and administration. The Auxiliary makes contributions to the hospital periodically throughout the year.
