Ivan Whitford (left) is presented with his retirement gift by Doug Walter in the cafeteria at Federal-Mogul. In later years, all retirees receive a Seiko watch with the time of their service engraved on the back.
Ivan ran a bearing blanker when I started working at F-M. At the time of his retirement he worked as a sintering line helper.
Ivan used to plant more then one garden each spring and sell his produce to Andy T’s. I don’t know if he still does that or not.
Ivan’s brother Marv was also a long time employee of Federal-Mogul.
