Participants should meet at the parking lot on the west side of Dewitt road by the new Clinton Lake. Bring your kayak or canoe and a personal floatation devise for each person in your boat. There is a short carry distance from the parking lot to the lake. Help will be available to to help participants carry their kayak or canoe to the lake. Be sure to bring sun blocker lotion and mosquito repellant.

After a short special program honoring FOMR founder and member Joe Latoff, the group will embark on their float trip at 7:00 PM.

Following the float trip there will be a short presentation regarding a special cooperative program taking place on the Clinton Lake area. This cooperative effort by the Clinton Conservation District, Michigan DNR, Pheasants Forever, and other groups and individuals, is designed to create true prairie grassland habitat within the park area that will benefit pheasants, waterfowl, song birds, rabbits and many other species of wildlife.
