It’s the time of year for the gardening bug to wake up. If the urge to dig in the soil, plant some seeds, raise your own juicy red tomatoes excites you, but you don’t have the pace…applications are available for individual, family and group garden plots from Victory Gardens of Clinton County.
Applications are available by e-mailing victorygardensclintoncounty@hotmail.com and we will send you an application. Applications are also available by visiting the MSU Extension office in the Clinton County Courthouse; at Briggs Public Library and Capital Area Community Services.
Donations from the community allow the garden plots to remain free for 2011gardening season. The garden is located at 310 N. Scott Rd, St. Johns. Plots are available on a first come/first served basis. We are asking that you donate a few of your extra vegetables to the community food pantry donation basket available at the garden and help with upkeep at the garden.
Victory Gardens of Clinton County is thankful for assistance from Clinton Area Transit Service, Kiwanis of St. Johns, The Garden Project of The Greater Lansing Food Bank, and the many volunteers who have made this garden possible. VGCC meets on the first Monday of the Month, 6 pm, Clinton County Courthouse, first floor conference room. “Let’s Garden Together” will be the topic for the March meeting. Everyone is welcome.
