Santorini Salon in DeWitt on Friday, June 11
Santorini Salon, located at 116 East Main Street, Suite C, in DeWitt presents “Hairstyles for Habitat” on Friday, June 11 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Santorini will donate $5 for each client served for the entire day to Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County.

Santorini’s stylists, (l-r) Jenn Navin, Abbie McKeage, Danielle Goodrich (owner) and Lauren Stebbins, offer over 25 years of combined experience with advanced training in color. In addition to color, the salon offers a wide range of services at affordable prices, including haircuts, highlights, updos, specialty styles, perms, relaxers, conditioning treatments and waxing. All haircuts include a complimentary stress relieving treatment scalp massage, shampoo, condition and blow dry style. To make an appointment, call 517-277-4247. Walk-ins are also welcome.
“We are pleased to be able to raise funds for such a worthy cause,” said Danielle Goodrich, Owner of Santorini Salon. “We wish Habitat every success in achieving their goal to build their next home.”
Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County completed building their fifth home in December, 2009, for a family of four. Habitat is currently raising funds so that construction can begin on property in Ovid in early 2011. “Even with the volunteer labor and donated materials we receive to build our homes, we still must raise at least $60,000 for every house we build,” noted Sue Carroll, Executive Director.
Most partner families have never been able to afford a conventional mortgage and live in substandard conditions prior to their Habitat experience. Each Habitat partner family contributes hundreds of hours of sweat equity toward the building of their homes. The family then purchases a simple and decent home from Habitat with a small down payment for a no-profit, affordable mortgage.
Members of the community who are interested in giving of their time, talent or treasure to Habitat are encouraged to contact Sue Carroll at 517-488-9506, or visit the website at www.habitatclinton.org. Be sure to stop by the Habitat ReStore at 2352 N. US 27 in St. Johns to find household bargains or to drop off any household items you no longer need. All donations are tax deductible.
