Village of Ovid
Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County is a Christian housing ministry with the goal of eliminating substandard housing in our community. Our purpose is to provide a “hand up” not a “hand out,” by building homes with volunteer labor for families who could not otherwise afford to own a home. It is our plan to build a decent, affordable and safe home beginning in Spring 2011 in the village of Ovid.
To qualify, applicants must currently be living in inadequate housing, such as poor living conditions, overcrowding or cost-burdened. They must be a resident of Clinton County, and be willing to partner with Habitat by working on their house and other projects. Applicants must be considered low income, meet minimum and maximum income criteria and have a decent credit history.
The deadline for submitting applications is December 5, 2010. Those interested in the program should call Sue Carroll at 989-227-1771 for more information and an application.
