Senter family in Ovid
“We really need a new house!” These were the words of 6-year old James Senter, when he learned his family was chosen to become Habitat for Humanity homeowners. The Senter family also includes James’ mother, Gabrielle and his father, Luther. When it is completed, the Senter family will purchase the house with a no profit mortgage.
Construction of the Senter’s new home is scheduled to begin construction in July. The home will be built on a lot that was donated to habitat in the village of Ovid.
Gabrielle is a retail store manager. Luther is currently seeking employment and is already earning his required “sweat equity” hours by volunteering his time at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in St. Johns. James is completing kindergarten and is already excited about starting first grade at his new elementary school in Ovid.
The next home construction is an Apostle’s Build, meaning it is being funded and constructed by a group of churches. So far we have 6 churches lined up and are still seeking six more. If you would like to know more about this sponsorship opportunity, please let Habitat know.
