Ruth Lee-Clark
Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County announces that Ruth Lee-Clark has accepted the position of manager of the Habitat ReStore in St. Johns.
Ruth has extensive non-profit business experience, including Director of Operations at The Nature Conservancy of East Lansing and Executive Director of the YMCA in Scott Depot WV and in Battle Creek MI. Her most recent venture was as Owner/Operator of Delta Gardens in Ovid MI for the past ten years.

“I am so excited to be a part of Habitat for Humanity,” says Clark. “It has a great mission and benefits so many, both here in our local community and worldwide. I am looking forward to being a part of the team here in Clinton County.”
The Habitat ReStore carries household goods such as appliances, furniture, lighting and electronics, as well as construction materials such as electrical and plumbing supplies, cabinets, doors, windows, siding, lumber, paint and much more. Some of the items are new, but the majority are gently used, donated by the community and sold at deeply discounted prices.
The ReStore’s slogan is “Reduce … Reuse … Recycle … Rebuild.” Recently the store added a Recycling program which accepts donations of outdated or non-working computers, televisions, stoves, refrigerators, other appliances and scrap metal.
“The Clinton County ReStore has had a great start thanks to its hard working staff and many volunteers,” commented Clark. “I am truly excited about the potential it has for continued growth. We look forward to expanding our volunteer base, increasing donations and getting the word out about what the store has to offer.”
Habitat encourages all Clinton County businesses and individuals to consider donating their unwanted items. By doing so, the donor receives a tax deduction and diverts the items from their eventual demise in a landfill. Donations are accepted on a daily basis during normal business hours, Tuesday through Saturday. The store also provides pick-ups and deliveries weekly throughout Clinton County. All donations to Habitat are tax deductible.
The Habitat ReStore is located at 2352 N. US 27 in St. Johns, just 1 mile north of M-21 and ½ mile south of Exit 99 off Hwy 127. The store is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, closed Sunday and Monday.
