Kiwanis Mint Fest Tennis Tourney results

On-line Registration Boosts Entries

For the third year, Kiwanis members went to the internet to solicit participation in their Mint Festival Tennis Tournament and participation suggests that on-line is an effective tool.
According to tournament chair, Chris Bouck, the event was again successful through the cooperation of many Kiwanis members and internet registration. “We are pleased with the number of participants and feel that on-line information assisted in that total. Next year we expect to have our registration forms available for completion on line again with even greater accessibility. We’re, so to speak, a work in progress on that score,” he commented.
While St. Johns Kiwanis has conducted this tournament since 2000, in recent years it has been named Terry Cornwell Memorial Tennis Tournament. Terry Cornwell was a long time high school counselor and Kiwanis member who’s interest in students had a lasting effect on many lives. Terry died from diabetes complications in 2004.
