I am writing to discuss the proposed street millage for the city of St. Johns. Being a new resident of St. Johns I wanted to express my support and appreciation for this project.
My family and I relocated to Michigan when I was offered a position with a company that had recently expanded. When looking for an area to settle down in we chose St. Johns for many reasons including the pride shown in the community.
My family and I may not have the legacy that most of the community has in St. Johns and I do not claim to know the history of past millage elections, but I see why this project is necessary.
With businesses expanding, companies moving into existing buildings and a corporate headquarters being built here, we need to continue to improve the community to make St. Johns the city where more new families like mine will want to raise their family.
That is why this fall I am choosing to support the city leaders and support the growth of St. Johns by voting for the street millage ballot on November 5th and I hope others do as well.
