Tuesday evening, June 3
Dave Camp, our retiring 4th District representative in Washington, is a nice guy. Yet he constantly voted for programs that put our children and grandchildren in more debt in the form of future taxes. He also approved of legislation that would allow the indefinite incarceration of US citizens without trial because he believed it was “in compliance” with the law. I guess he lost his copy of our Constitution. I hope he finds time to read it in his retirement. He could start with the Bill of Rights.
People say they want to change Washington, yet they vote for candidates who only want to “get along”. And nothing changes. Why would it?
Most elected politicians, Republican and Democrat, just want to “get along” — and retire wealthy. Too many officials think the oath they take is to the government and not the Constitution. The two are not the same.
There is only one Republican candidate running to take Dave Camp’s seat in Washington that takes the Constitution seriously. His name is Peter Konetchy. He will be speaking at the Riley Township Hall, 7110 W. Pratt Rd., Dewitt on Tuesday evening June 3, 2014, at 7 pm.
Come hear a fresh voice.
