Habitat ReStore – A chance to make a difference
What does Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County ReStore in St. Johns do? As the largest fundraising effort of Clinton County, the ReStore provides a way for volunteers to support the mission of Habitat without swinging a hammer. Run by two part-time employees and numerous volunteers, the ReStore accepts donated furniture, appliances and building materials for resale. The funds generated through the ReStore help fund the construction and renovation of homes right here in Clinton County. Integral to the success of the ReStore are the dedicated volunteers and generous donations.
If you are interested in volunteering and making a difference in your community, the ReStore has various opportunities available. Volunteers can help at the ReStore as cashiers, work in the intake room sorting, and preparing donations for resale, as truck drivers or assistants picking up donations, or even in seasonal lawn care at the facility. Joining the volunteer team is a rewarding experience as you make new friends and work with them to support the housing ministry of Habitat for Humanity.
