Community Band says thanks
The City of St. Johns is filled with wonderful and generous people. We saw evidence again Friday Night December 3 at the 2010 Holiday Music Spectacular at the Wilson Center Auditorium. The Community Band has presented this benefit concert for a number of years and each year the attendance has grown.
This year people donated over $400 to the Wilson Center Renovation Project. By far, the most we have ever raised at a Spectacular.
Thank you to the people of St. Johns who support us each year and thank you to our performers; the Laingsburg Community Singers, the St. Johns High School Quintet, the Hand Bell Choir from the 1st Congregational Church, the St. Johns String Ensemble, and, of course, my fellow St. Johns Community Band members.
The night was a huge success thanks to the efforts of each of these groups plus the St. Johns School District Facilities Operations Department, namely, Ron Patterson and Janet Tew.
Thanks again. Hope to see you all at the 2011 Holiday Music Spectacular.
