Reader feels betrayed by Republicans
Did your “Conservative” Senator just betray you? Is your “Conservative” Representative next?
Thirteen Republican Senators voted with the liberals to pass SB 693 creating Insurance Exchanges in Michigan. Republicans voting FOR the bill were Senators Kahn, Emmons, Jones, Booher, Hildenbrand, Meekhof, Caswell, Jansen, Pappageorge, Richardville, Green, Hansen and Marleau. Apparently being “conservative” when campaigning means nothing when its time to vote.
The Senate substitute of House Bill 5014 accepts 9.8 million in Federal blackmail money and appropriates it to implement ObamaCare. The bribe will be used to set up ObamaCare “Health Insurance Exchanges” called for in SB 693. Once the Federal money is gone, we will be on the hook forever. Do these actions reflect conservative principles?
The House will soon vote on the Senate version of House Bill 5014. If passed, our option of choosing a private insurance policy will be gone. Citizens will have to buy insurance coverage chosen by the Government from carriers approved by the Government.
Doctors will comply with Federal mandates or forgo payments. Don’t fool yourself by thinking “I just won’t participate.” When Michigan takes the carrot offered by the Federal Government and institutes ObamaCare, it voluntarily surrenders its sovereignty. It agrees to report any citizen who does not comply. It must report citizens’ information to the Federal government; and each month the exchanges must report all individuals who terminate enrollment.
It is time to decide. Is my Senator protecting my rights or someone else’s? Does my Representative represent me? We conservatives must contact our Representatives and tell them to vote “No” on the Senate version of HB 5014. If they can’t listen to our voices, it may just be the end of the Republican Party in Michigan.
