Custom made bench
At the October 10th meeting of the St Johns Lions Club Charter member Lion Vern Sharick was honored. The club presented Lion Vern with a custom made park style bench in his honor as the last charter member of the St Johns Lions Club.
The club was chartered on October 13, 1948. Lion Vern has been a member for 64 years. Lion Vern’s daughter Nancy (Sharick) Ramsdil and her family were also in attendance at the meeting.

Lion Vern, who is a resident of Gracehaven, an assisted living facility in St Johns, requested that the bench be placed in the garden/courtyard at the Gracehaven facility. This past July Vern celebrated his 98th birthday.
