To recruit volunteers
Without your help, seniors in our community will not have access to Home Delivered Meals.
Got an Hour? We need your help!
Volunteers are in short supply and in high demand. As the number of seniors increase, so does the need for home delivered meals. The demand for this program so far exceeds funding growth.
While the governor has made it a goal to become a “No Wait State” for home delivered meals, this is not possible without volunteer support in the community.
If we do not have enough drivers to deliver meals, the food doesn’t go out and once again we face the risk of a waiting list which results in seniors going hungry!
We are looking to recruit in the tri-county area 200-400 volunteers now. It only takes about an hour to deliver meals to 12-14 seniors.
Volunteers can choose to deliver once per month or as often as they would like. We even have some volunteers that are “on-call” so that if a regular volunteer is unable to deliver, they will fill in.
