100th Anniversary at the PGS Museum
In the One Room School exhibit area at the Museum is a small display showcasing the rich history of Girl Scouting’s first 100 years.
The Girl Scouts were founded in the United States by Juliette Gordon Lowe in 1912 after she met Robert Baden-Powell, founder of Scouting, in 1911.
Girl Scouts USA aims to empower girls and teach values such as honesty, fairness, courage, compassion, character, sisterhood, confidence, and citizenship through activities for which the girls earn badges.
We’re looking for any and all Girl Scouts in Clinton County. Whether you were a Brownie for a year or have been a leader for 30 years, we want to hear from you.
Please contact the Museum if you are or have been a Girl Scout. We look forward to sharing stories of Clinton County Girl Scouting experiences.
Girl Scouts will be celebrated at PGS Museum during the St. Johns Mint Festival on August 11 and 12, 2012.
