St. Joseph Students visit Museum

3rd and 4th grade students
Third and 4th grade students from St. Joseph Catholic School toured the Paine-Scott-Museum Friday, December 14.
The students were very interested in hearing and seeing how Christmas was observed in the 1800’s and early 1900’s.
Two students explore the artifacts in the parlor.
The Victorian decorations, antiques toys, handmade items and gifts prompted many questions from the students. Other items that drew their interest were the household tools and gadgets that it took to maintain a household in times past.
Please plan your visit to the Paine-Gillam-Scott Museum when it re-opens in the spring to see the new exhibits featuring “Clubs and Organizations in Clinton County”.
Thank you for your patronage in 2012.

Volunteer Rex Ferguson waits for the students.
