Dear Old Golden Rule Days
Do your thoughts ever wander back to your early school days? If you lived in the country, you, your parents or grandparents may have attended a one room school house similar to the one above, showing the old outhouse, and the wood pile which was the source of heat that kept you warm in the winter, if your seat was close enough to that old pot belly stove.

We all have priceless memories of those school days, the friends we had, and that special teacher who stimulated our young minds. You can re-kindle those old memories by visiting the Museum in 2015. The main exhibit will focus on early Clinton County schools. Share your memories, and your photos with our staff. We love talking about the good old days.
You may also be interested in their Military Exhibit and Renovated Calendar Hall on the second floor. Also be sure to visit the General Store and Carriage House located behind the Museum.
Volunteers work hard to provide a meaningful experience to guests. If you haven’t visited the Museum complex recently, you will be pleasantly surprised by all that Clinton County Historical Society’s Paine-Gilliam-Scott House Museum Complex has to offer.
