Becky (Field) Wood says, “The mystery photo for this week is 409 E. Higham Street. This was our childhood home and was purchased by our parents Max and Harriet Field in the fall of 1958. It was owned by my family until 2000 when our mother passed away. The house was blue with white trim when our parents owned it. Many wonderful memories of this house.”
Rachel Boyd adds: This week’s mystery photo is of my grandparents old home (Max and Harriet Field) located at 409 E Higham street.
Barry says that 409 E. Higham Street, St. Johns was built before 1868. It is constructed of a wood frame with a cut stone foundation. The current owners listed are Rose Cook with her brother Michael VanRooyen. Previous owners include Edgar Ryon, Max Field, Matthew and Linda Damer, and Guy and Ashley Huggard.
