Lori Snyder writes: The house is 800 N. Clinton Ave, on the Corner of North Clinton Ave. and East Gibbs St. It was once an apartment, then owned by the Bishop Family and they turned it into a single family house.
It was also owned at one time by Jim and Robin Schultheiss. It is now owed Kristal Davis and James Davis.
Barry agrees and adds: The current owner is James Davis. Previous owners include John Bradley, Mary Bishop, James & Robin Schultheiss.
This house was once owned by Harry Bradley, local businessman, city commissioner, and city mayor.
This house used to have a row chimney styled planters on the Gibbs St. side. That is my first memory of St. Johns in 1955.
This house is located on the corner of Wight and Clark St., in St. Johns.
Current owners for the past 47 years are Lawrence and Clarice (Faught) Scott
According to our Abstract this property dates back to 1856.
Previous owners were Kenneth Rinke, Galye and Sally Desprez, Darrell Jones, Hattie Hotchkiss, Kenneth Munger, Livingston Davis, Alvah Walker and many more.
This house was moved to this location in or around 1916/1919, from where Rodney B. Wilson now stands, according to one of our older neighbors, Mrs. Allison, who was a little girl at the time and has since passed.
