It looks like the former Free Methodist Church on Church Street. Notice the broken window pane.

Marti Cooper didn’t know the denomination of the church but speculated that it might be the one for which Church St. was named. That honor probably goes to the old Baptist Church which stood in the first block across from the present location of the Wilson Center. That church was later moved to the southwest corner of Ottawa and State Streets where the Parr building now sits.
