Here’s looking up your old address

A few years ago Nancy Osborn Barrett loaned a 1950 St. Johns telephone directory to Barry Bauer. We have read it and enjoyed it, but we didn’t know quite what to do with it.
We could share it with you as it was, but the days are long gone when we could pick up the receiver and ask the operator to ring 565-Red. Only the names and the addresses mean anything now.

Finally, in tribute to Nancy, we decided to share the directory in two forms. Now you can look up a name from our past and learn where they lived. You can also look up an address and find out who was living in that house in July, 1950.
Please bear in mind that not every household had a telephone. And Enjoy!
