Patricia Jean Garrod
Patricia Jean Garrod died May 20, 2011, at the age of 56. Born July 6, 1954 in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Rex and Mable (Detwiler) Collins. Patricia loved her family and her dog Oliver. She enjoyed being out of doors, especially participating in water activities. She graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Patricia was proud of her role in improving the lives of children as a Laboratory Scientist in the newborn screening department with the State of Michigan.
Patricia is survived by her husband Robert of St. Johns, as well as their daughter, Lindsay (Andrew) Zevchak of Laingsburg and son, Greg (Casey) Garrod of Chicago. She is also survived by her sisters, Anne (Glenn) Gross, Janet (Les) Schwartz, Sue (Philip) Soldan, Brother in laws, Mike (Shelly) Garrod, Bill Garrod, Randy Garrod, Sister in laws, Dixa (Robert) Rositas, Pam (John) Garcia, as well as many nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, David Collins.
Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Osgood Funeral Home with Pastor Hugh Banninga officiating. The family will receive friends, Monday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Patricia’s memory to Sparrow Foundation/Palliative Care Service, 1110 E. Michigan Ave, P.O. Box 30480, Lansing, MI. 48909-7980.

Patrick R. Loucks
Patrick R. Loucks, died May 19, 2011, at the age of 73. Born January 30, 1938, in Hubbardston, Michigan. He was the son of John and Bernice (McCuaig) Loucks. Patrick married Janet (Little) on June 12, 1965, in Dearborn, Michigan and she survives him.
In addition to his wife Janet, Patrick is survived by their sons, Christopher (Denise) Loucks of St. Johns, John Loucks of Alma, granddaughters, Elizabeth (Zack) Hood, Megan Loucks, Samantha Loucks, grandsons, Nathan Loucks, Ryan Loucks, Ethan Loucks, Justin Loucks, great grandsons, Jaysen Hood, Evan Hood, and sisters, Kay (Gene) Hodge, and Rose (Tom) Bowler. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Joanne Robinson, Marilyn (James) Mitchell, and brother, Johns “Jack” Loucks.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Eoin Murphy officiating, with burial to follow at Mount Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. at The Osgood Funeral Home in St. Johns, with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patrick’s memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
