Theodore R. “Ted” Perry
Theodore R. “Ted” Perry, age 80, of Ithaca, Michigan, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Charles Krueger officiating. Burial will be at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Ted was born in St. Johns, Michigan on January 12, 1932, the son of Ray and Ocie (Miller) Perry. He graduated from Rodney B. High School in St. Johns, Michigan with the class of 1949. On May 10, 1952 he married M. Jean Eisler in St. Johns, Michigan. Ted served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Federal Mogul in St. Johns, Michigan for 31 years retiring in 1986. Ted enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, and he was an animal lover. He resided most of his live in St. Johns and Ithaca, and he was a member and one of the people who started the Federal Mogul Credit Union.
He is survived by his wife Jean Perry of Ithaca, MI daughter Patricia Ann and Bill Graves of St. Johns, MI, son Steven R. and Paula Perry of Owosso, MI, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, sister, and 2 brothers.
Memorials may be made to The Hospice Program or Humane Society in your area. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, Michigan.
Cynthia Ann Tiedt
Cynthia Ann Tiedt died Wednesday September 12, 2012 at the age of 74. She was born August 2, 1938 in St. Johns the daughter of Allen “Bill” and Hilda (Fedewa) Weed. She was a graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns, Class of 1956 and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Cynthia was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed playing golf and bowling. On June 23, 1962 she married Allen Tiedt and he survives her.
Also surviving are two sons, Craig of St. Johns and Scott (Rhonda) of Fairview, TX; four grandchildren; one sister, Kathy (Sterling) Kyd and one brother David (Lisa) Weed. She was preceded in death by a son James in 2009 and her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday September 15, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 109 Linden, St. Johns with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams as Celebrant. Following Cynthia’s wishes cremation will follow the Mass. The family will receive relatives and friends 6-8 PM on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
