Nicholas D. Hirsch
Nicholas D. Hirsch, 37, passed away in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Born March 27, 1975, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Nicholas G. Hirsch and Catherine Widmer. Nick is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Borum) Hirsch, whom he married on November 25, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nick is also survived by three sons, Nicholas Hirsch-Bennett, Tucker Johnson, Cy Honeycutt, his parents, Nicholas Hirsch and Catherine Widmer, grandmother, Dorothy Widmer, mother and father-in-law, Howard (Connie) Borum, sisters-in-law, Rachel (Robbie) Patton, Cathy (Doug) Jenson, brother-in-law, Trey Borum, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday October 6, 2012 at the Osgood Funeral Home in St. Johns, with Pastor Joe Rabideau officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Nick’s children.

Germaine R. Nurenberg
Germaine R. Nurenberg died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the age of 77. She was born December 30, 1934 in Westphalia, MI the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Rademacher) Schneider. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Altar Society. Germaine enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. On May 5, 1956 she married Robert Nurenberg and he survives her.
Also surviving are two daughters, Carol (Dean) Peterson and Linda (Russ) Shivley; one son, Mark (RaeDeane) Nurenberg all of St. Johns; nine grandchildren, Joseph, Katelyn, Steven and Jenna Peterson, Justin, Mike (Sara) and Zac VanEffen, Jared and Jordyn Nurenberg; two great grandsons, Hunter Wagar and Bryce VanEffen; one sister, Marie (Jack) Martin of Westphalia; five brothers, Donald (Alice) Schneider of Fowler, Gerald Schneider of Oregon, Leonard (Pat) Schneider and Richard (Helen) Schneider of Westphalia, Edwin (Monica) Schneider of Laingsburg; brothers and sisters in law, Agnes Schneider of Carson City, MI, Colleen (Ben) Heiden, Jim (Jane) Nurenberg, Tom (Ann) Nurenberg, Dick (Judy) Nurenberg all of Westphalia, Janet (Jack) Dailey of Hubbardston, Kathy Hunter of Charlotte and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Nurenberg, brothers, Alfred, Melvin, Stanley Schneider, sister, Sister Adeline Schneider, brothers and sisters in law, Margaret and Therese Schneider, Dennis (Geraldine) Nurenberg, Donna (Jerry) West and Leroy Hunter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday October 6, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 109 Linden St. Johns with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns. The family will receive relatives and friends 6-8 PM on Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday with a Vigil Service at 8:00 PM Friday at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns. Tyara N. Devereaux-Korbel
Tyara N. Devereaux-Korbel, age 39, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 in San Diego, California. Tyara was born July 1, 1973 the daughter of Lance (Laura) Devereaux and Rebecca Pavalock in St. Johns. She married Alvin “AJ” Korbel, Jr. in Grand Ledge on June 9, 2006 and he survives her. Tyara was a wonderful wife, loving daughter and caring friend.
Along with her husband and parents, she is survived by her brothers, Justin and Andrew (Rachael) Devereaux, half-sister, Lydia Pavalock, step sister, Shannon (Andrew) May and step brother, Joshua Coffman. Tyara was preceded in death by her grandparents and uncle, Larry Devereaux.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Osgood Funeral Home in St. Johns with Pastor David Hudgens officiating. Her family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Sunday, September 30 also at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorial contributions to the Tyara Devereaux-Korbel Memorial Fund with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Her family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Home.
Kathleen A. Bond
Kathleen A. Bond died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the age of 70. She was born August 19, 1942 in Trenton, MI the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy (Conrad) Schwab. She was a graduate of Ovid High School, Class of 1960 and attended Grace Chapel of the Pentecostal Church of God in St. Johns. Kathleen enjoyed bowling and retired as the transportation administrator for Clinton County Regional Educational Service Agency. On January 22, 1982 she married John Bond and he survives her.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert Sterba and James Sterba of Ovid and Michael Sterba of Grand Rapids; 21 grand and great grandchildren, two sisters, Jerrie (Albert) Schultz of DeWitt and Barb (Wayne) Baxter of Texas. She was preceded in death by a daughter Kelly Sterba and granddaughter Krystina Bond.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns with Pastor Scott Loman officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends for two hours prior the memorial service. Memorials may be made to Mother Teresa House P.O.
