Keith D. Ruthruff
Keith D. Ruthruff died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born January 31, 1928 in Edmore, MI the son of Kenneth and Iva (Kimball) Ruthruff. Keith was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of U.A.W. Local #652 and was retired from General Motors skilled trades with 40 years of service. On August 27, 1950 he married Jacquelin Tissue and she survives him.
Also surviving are two daughters, Chari Bell and Jeri Ruthruff both of Lansing; one son, Robert (Deb) Ruthruff of St. Johns; four grandchildren, Michael and Tim Ruthruff, Amber Ruthruff and Jacob Bell; two great grandchildren Savannah and Kaden; one brother, Allen (Vivian) Ruthruff of Lansing and his dog Sonny. He was preceded in death by a brother Raymond.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns with Pastor Judy Hazel officiating. Interment will take place at 2:00PM at Sidney Township Cemetery in Sidney, MI. The family will receive relatives and friends 4-7 PM Monday, August 5 at the funeral home. Paul F. Miller
Paul F. Miller died suddenly, Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Stanford Medical Center in Stanford, CA at the age of 73. He was born September 4, 1939 in Barryton, MI the son of Floyd and Anna (Peacock) Miller. Paul earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from MSU and continued his education earning his Master’s Degree from Wayne State University.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in St. Johns and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Paul was an avid MSU sports fan and especially enjoyed Spartan football and basketball. He enjoyed being outside, be it golfing, hunting or just working in the yard and he also loved to travel. Paul retired from MDOT as the Engineer of Design with 41 years of service. On April 11, 1964 he married Gail Lyn McNeilly and she survives him.
Also surviving are three daughters, Teri Miller of Lansing, twins Kelly (David) Myers of St. Johns and Mandy (Kyle) Koop of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI; grandchildren, twins Brandon and Carter Macon, Briella Shim, Cole, Lindsey and Hailey Myers, Sophie and Stella Koop; sister, Patricia “Patty Lou” (Gale) Cummings of Barryton, MI; mother-in-law Catherene McNeilly of St. Johns and former son-in-law Drew Macon of Lansing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at First United Methodist Church 200 E. State St. Johns with Pastor Ellen Zienert officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 6 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns.
