Terri L. Davis
Terri L. Davis, 59 of St. Johns died on Monday, March 4, 2014 at her home following a long fight with cancer. She was born on December 8, 1954 in Lansing, MI the daughter of Harley B. and Mildred L. (Osbo) Davis Sr. Terri graduated from Sexton High School in 1973 and worked at CACS Head start as a Building Aide. She enjoyed bowling, softball, sports, Nascar and watching TV.
Terri is survived by her friend, Linda George of St. Johns, sisters Linda Smit, Sharon Davis both of Lansing and Kathy (Ace) Halsted of Mason; brothers, Harley, Jerry, Ron, John and Jim (Mary) Davis all of Lansing and special Honeys, Kiana Williams of St. Johns and Austin Williams of Lansing. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and a sister.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home on Thursday, March 6, 2014, 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating. Memorials may be given to Sparrow Home Hospice.
Ronald Lee Skorich Sr.
Ronald Lee Skorich Sr., 76, of Huntington Beach, CA passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, February 25, 2014 surrounded by the love of his family. Ron was born in Bellaire, OH on October 4, 1937 to Peter and Palma Skorich. He graduated from St. John Central High School in 1955 and then attended Lansing Community College and later graduated from Michigan State University (MSU).
After graduating from MSU, Ron started his teaching and coaching career at Bath High School in Bath, MI. He had a big impact on athletics at Bath High School. He coached the varsity football team with a tough love approach that commanded the respect of his players. Ron left a profound and lasting influence on the students that he taught and coached, as well as all who worked with him.
Ron moved his family to California in 1977 where he began a new career path starting his own business called Pacific Bicycles. In December 2000 Ron retired from Hughes Aircraft Company/Raytheon Company after working there for 16 years. Ron loved being with his family and family meant anyone that wanted to be a part of his family. His family has grown far beyond his bloodline borders. He was most affectionately known as “Papa” to all who met him and spent any time with him. You could not walk away without wanting more of the infectious love that surrounded Papa.
Ron is survived by his siblings, Richard and Gloria; children, Montee and wife Joy, Ron Jr, Kim Sego and husband Tom, Cathy Ferrato, and Jennifer; grandchildren, Audrey Koubeck and husband Paul, Kiley Weinmann, Stacey Irwin, Ali Ferrato, Ben Irwin and his wife Lisa, Sydni Skorich, Daniel Irwin and Blake Skorich; and great grandchildren, Chase Weinmann, Ethan, Ava, Theo and Max Koubeck, Layla Dahl, Gavin and Alayna Irwin, and all friends and loved ones that called him Papa, Ron, Uncle, Coach or friend. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Palma Skorich; siblings, Carl, Paul, Nick, Peter, Anna Marie Dyrdek, and Dolores Grazianni; daughter, Diana, grandson, Chad Ferrato; and great granddaughter, Bailee Tonkinson.
Keith A. Lintemuth
Keith A. Lintemuth, age 77, of St. Johns, MI passed away on Friday, February 28th, 2014 at Laurels of Fulton in Gratiot County, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel on Tuesday, March 4th at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Clinton County, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday and Monday from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
Keith was born in Rodney, Michigan on May 9, 1936, the son of Franklin and Hazel Amy (Smith) Lintemuth. He graduated from Big Rapids High School with the Class of 1955. He married Zola Belle (Johnson) Lintemuth on February 14, 1958 in Big Rapids, MI. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2001. Keith had resided in the St. Johns area since 1962. Prior to that, he grew up in Big Rapids, MI. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961, and retired from General Motors in 1990 after 35 years of service. Keith loved hunting, fishing, and tinkering in his garage. He was also a Boy Scout Leader for many years.
He is survived by his son Bryan and Judy Lintemuth of Perrinton, MI; son Bradley and Beth Lintemuth of Corunna, MI; 5 grandchildren Cathy and Johnathan Leckrone of Perrinton, MI; Johnathon and Jennifer Lintemuth of Ithaca, MI; Trent Lintemuth of St. Johns, MI; Miriah Lintemuth of Ovid, MI; Shaye Lintemuth of Ovid, MI; 3 great grandchildren David Leckrone of Perrinton, MI; Stephanie Leckrone of Perrinton, MI; Ian Mata of Ithaca, MI; sister Leatrice Freiberg of Kettering, OH; sister Joan and Robert Bunting of St. Louis, MI; sister in law Joyce Lintemuth of Lansing, MI; brother in law Leonard Worth of Big Rapids, MI; brother in law Alvin Johnson of McBride, MI; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Zola, and four brothers Thern, Quenton, Oakley, and John Lintemuth; sister Jean Worth, and an infant sister Irene Lintemuth.

Frances Ellen Ridenour
Frances Ellen Ridenour, age 78, of St. Johns, passed away February 28, 2014. She was born in Akron, Ohio on September 17, 1935, the daughter of Glenn and Doris (Brownlee) Fasnacht. Frances married Alvin Ridenour on February 2, 1953 and he preceded her in death on December 26, 1999.
Frances is survived by three sons; Dan (Jan) Ridenour of St. Johns, Eric (Sandy) Ridenour of Walled Lake and Kurt (Wanda) Ridenour of Kentucky; daughter, Linda (David) Mudrinich of Arkansas; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Gregory, Ann Melton; brothers, Lee (Jean) Fasnacht and John Fasnacht. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Fasnacht, Doris Fasnacht, Faye Knittel, and her brother, James Fasnacht.
As per Frances’ wishes, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in Frances’ name to Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, 1101 S. Scott Rd., St. Johns, MI 48879. The family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Homes.
Steven Edward DeWaters
Steven Edward “Steve” DeWaters, age 62, of St. Johns, Michigan passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home.
Steve’s wishes were to be cremated with burial services in the spring.
Steve was born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan on August 9, 1951, the son of Floyd Edward and Phyllis May (Knickerbocker) DeWaters.
He is survived by daughter Angela and Sherwood Jones of Winter Garden, Florida, son Jason and Andrea DeWaters of Lansing, MI, several grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Shari Horwath of Holt, MI, and Susan DeWaters of Melbourne, FL. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Renee DeWaters and his son Matthew DeWaters.
