Open house features Middle School students

March 10
Already we’re headed for March and with the first Sunday, Clinton County Arts Council’s Gallery begins its regular monthly open house on March 10, featuring the works of Council members artists from around the region.
An annual feature of the open house series is the presentation of works by Clinton County students. This year all middle school students in the county have been invited to display their efforts. As in the past, students’ displays include paintings, sculptures and unusual creative entries along with crafts and handiworks.
The activities include refreshments along with exhibits during the 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. gathering and the open invitation is without charge.
Sponsoring the March event is the Rotary Club of St. Johns.
The Gallery is located at 215 N. Clinton Ave. in St. Johns and information regarding these monthly get-togethers – and other Council related activities – can be obtained by calling 989 224-2329.
Activities of the Arts Council are made possible through generous sponsorships, such as offered by the Rotary Club and regular membership dues and donations. These sources are supplemented by periodic grants from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs which is a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
