Museum Volunteers participate in Santa Parade

Paine-Gillam-Scott Museum
Volunteers from the Paine-Gillam-Scott Museum joined the annual St. Johns Santa Parade. A 1973 Mustang Convertible carried a Christmas tree in the back seat with lights along sides, front and back of the car. The theme of red, white and blue lights matched the logo of the Museum.
The parade route was lined with people of all ages who enjoyed the lighted floats. The parade ended at the Depot with several Christmas activities. Mayor Dana Beaman welcomed parade attendees and gave prizes to the Fowler High School Marching Band as the best marching unit and also Lansing Community College for best lighted float. The Mayor introduced Santa Claus and presented Santa Claus with the key to the city. Little Miss Mint Shelby Lynn Heinlen had the pleasure of lighting the official St. Johns Christmas tree.
Paine-Gillam-Scott Museum Volunteers are looking forward to next year’s parades. Please join us for these fun community activities in 2013 and plan your visit to the Paine-Gillam-Scott Museum when it re-opens in the spring. Planned exhibits will feature” Clubs and Organizations in Clinton County”.
Thank you for your patronage in 2012.
