June 12 – August 28
Time flies when you’re having fun – and making music in the good ole’ summertime.
That’s certainly true for the thousands of area residents who have attended Concert in the Park shows since the series began in the 1980s, and especially so in 2013 during the 10th Anniversary Season at the St. Johns City Park Performance Shell.
The Beatles Tribute Band, Toppermost, leads off the August line-up with a show Aug. 7, followed by the special engagement August 14 by Three Men and a Tenor.
The Capitol City Brass Band returns to the Shell on Aug. 21, bringing its great sound, and the 2013 season concludes Aug. 28 with what has become a Concert in the Park finale tradition – Matt King as Elvis.
The St. Johns Lions and Lioness Club staff a concession stand each week, offering light refreshments; all concerts are held rain or shine.
Concert in the Park is sponsored by the Clinton County Arts Council and the city of St. Johns, with support from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
