I’m Buster, and my foster mom says that I am very calm and mellow for a 15 month old Labrador. I love the water, I won’t jump on you, I love car rides and walk nicely on a leash. I also love to play with other dogs and am even fine with cats. I am not especially food motivated but just love to be right by your side wherever you go.
Since I lived outdoors in a barn before coming to APB, my foster mom says that I am doing really well at house training and crate training. My foster mom thinks that I am such a nice boy that I may even pass a pet therapy test to go visit people who would like to hug a sweet dog like me!
I just had surgery for canine entropion. Entropion is a painful congenital condition in which the eyelids roll inward, causing the eyelashes and small hairs surrounding the eye to rub against the cornea. Without treatment, entropion causes corneal ulcers and eventual blindness. My first two pictures are after my surgery and the other one is before – quite a difference, huh?!
Although I weigh 96 pounds, I am very gentle. I am neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and looking forward to living inside a warm home next to someone that will love me forever!
