Animal Placement Bureau – Recycling Dogs
Michiganders for Shelter Pets put together this video composed of many Michigan pets with written messages for State Senator Joe Hune (R) 22 District. The messages are asking him, from the pets perspective, to move SB 423/424 (Grant’s Bills – to end gas chamber deaths in Michigan) out of committee.

Why would someone give up a beloved pet? Where do you go if you are in that situation to make sure the pet is well taken care of? Animal Placement Bureau.
The Animal Placement Bureau is a no-kill foster care network and was Incorporated in 1978 by the State of Michigan. The Animal Placement Bureau is a federally recognized 501 (c)) (3) non-profit organization whose primary goal is to place homeless dogs into loving, life-long homes.
We place 200-300 dogs yearly. All of our dogs live in homes with our volunteers and become part of their families. APB receives no public funding and has no facility. APB is funded solely by private donations and fund-raisers. The dogs are obtained from a variety of sources; owner surrender, animal control facilities all over the state and puppy mills. Our dogs receive medical care, including vaccinations, spaying or neutering, worming, blood work, x-rays, etc. In addition we often have special needs dogs who need additional assistance and extensive medical care (heartwom treament, major surgery, etc.)
