Limited Spaces Available for Swimming Lessons
The City of St. Johns Recreation Department is offering spring swim lessons. Lesson will take place on Tuesday and Thursday Nights at the St. Johns High School Pool. Classes will start April 14 and run through April 30 with class times of 4:15 – 4:45 p.m., 4:55 – 5:25 p.m., 5:35 p.m. – 6:05 p.m., 6:15 p.m. – 6:45p.m., and 6:55 p.m. – 7:25 p.m. Each class time is limited to 12 kids. Cost is 20 for City of St. Johns residents and $25 for non-city of St. Johns residents.

Open Gym Indoor Soccer
St Johns Recreation Drop-In Indoor Soccer will strive to provide a friendly and fun, yet semi-competitive atmosphere, for High School Students (16 and older with written parent consent) and adults in St Johns and the surrounding communities to enjoy the game of soccer. The weekly event will be “drop-in style” with little formal organization beyond setting up goals, dividing up teams and ensuring the safety of all participants. General Indoor Soccer rules will be consistently applied (e.g., play off walls, no hands, no fouling) for the safety of the participants and the betterment of the game. However, the structure of the games (e.g., 4v4, 6v6, 8v8) and the structure of each night (e.g., 1 big game, 2 small games) will be highly dependent on the number of participants each event.
This program is being held at the St. Johns Middle School Gymnasium on Thursdays, April 16, 23, 30, 2015 from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. The cost is $4.00 per person per night. Open Gym cards (can be used for soccer, basketball, and volleyball) are available for purchased at the City Offices or during Open Gym times for $20 and are good for 6 visits.
