Laughing, Loving and Leading Your Kids

Registration deadline in March 9th.
Laughing, Loving and Leading Your Kids is the theme for a gathering of Clinton County parents. On Saturday, March 19th from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm parents and other adults who care for children are invited to come together at RESA in St. Johns to learn from each other and from some great speakers.
Gloria Sherman will talk about raising self-reliant children in a self-indulgent world – providing children with opportunities to handle adverse experiences with a sense of challenge and self-confidence.
Su Porter will talk with us about helping children understand that anger isn’t bad, in fact we all get angry – it’s how we handle it that matters and she’ll give us tips for helping children build those skills.
In addition Grandma Janet (Sinke) will share her stories with the group, and each participant will receive a book. Staff from Briggs Library, DeWitt Library and MSU Extension will share great ideas for learning activities building on stories.
All of this plus morning refreshments, lunch, and door prizes, for only $15/person or $25/couple. Some scholarships are available to attend. Sorry, childcare is not available.
