Lifetime Care planning

A free workshop is being offered for parents and family members of special needs students, or anyone who has wondered:
– Who will take care of my child if something happens to me? Will there be enough money to do it?
– Will they do it according to my wishes?
Program Focus
Special Needs Financial Planning for children and youth with disabilities (including estate planning, wills, trusts and learning to preserve your family assets and benefits for your child’s best future). Presented by Amy Tripp, J.D., Chalgian & Tripp Law Offices attorney, who is well-versed in the intricacies of social needs planning, and passionate about helping her clients and families.
Guardianship and Guardianship Alternatives. Presented by Nicole Shannon, J.D., Michigan Protection & Advocacy Service, Inc., who serves clients in a variety of areas including housing, and employment. Nicole will discuss different types of guardianship available as well as other alternatives.
Question and Answer session to follow.
