The Michigan Center for Rural Health recently recognized Sparrow Clinton Hospital in St. Johns for continuing improvements in patient safety and quality of care. Sparrow Clinton Hospital received the Michigan Center for Rural Health’s 2012 Spirit of Quality Award.

This is the fourth year the Michigan Center for Rural Health has offered the quality award. Sparrow Clinton Hospital earned high marks for significant and sustained improvements in patient safety and quality of care.

Sparrow Clinton Hospital was honored by The Michigan Center for Rural Health at an awards ceremony during the 13th Annual Michigan Critical Access Hospital Conference in Boyne Falls, Michigan. The Michigan Center for Rural Health is a non-profit organization formed in 1991 as part of a nation-wide, federal and state initiative to recognize the importance of rural health care and to create a mechanism for resources to flow to rural areas.
