Help needed at Senior Center

The Clinton County Senior Center has had a very successful year, but with numbers growing and expenses rising, their needs never are met completely.  Some of their needs are for the holidays and some extend throughout the year.  If you would like to help the Senior Center, perhaps you would consider helping in one of these areas:
Pies:  The Senior Center holds a public fundraising lunch each Monday.  They are looking for someone to provide 1-2 homemade pies on the 3rd Monday of each Month.
Cooks:  For their Monday lunches they need 2-3 people that would cook a meal one Monday every other month.  The center provides all the supplies.  The cooks come in between 8:30-9:00 am, put together the meal (which includes a full meal, a sandwich and soup) and then plates up the food between 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.  Some light clean up is needed, but crews are usually done by 1:15.
Bakers: The Senior Center holds a Bake Sale every month, usually at Krogers on a Saturday.  They are always looking for more people to make cookies, cakes, candies, etc.  They will help with supplies.
Homemade Crafts:  The Senior Center will participate in the Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Festival on Sat, Dec 4 at the CC RESA Building.  They are looking for homemade crafts to sell.  Anything that does not sell that day will be put into their Gift Shop at the center and sold there.
Christmas Cups:  If you have good condition new or use Christmas Cups, they are needed by December 15.
Paper Products:  The center is always in need of paper plates, cups, napkins, toilet tissue, Kleenex and paper towels.
Of course right now the center needs supporters to purchase their new “2011 Seniors and their Furry Friends” calendar. They are on sale for $10 at many locations throughout St. Johns including the center, the Chamber of Commerce, Mazz’s, the Country Store, Andy T’s Farm Market and Keck Coleman Funeral Home.
