February will be a good time to feed your sweet tooth at the Clinton County Senior Center.
On Thursday, February 7 from 6-8 pm they will be hosting their annual Chocolate Fantasy. More than 25 delectable chocolate creations such as Milky Way Cake, White Chocolate Macadamia cookies, chocolate covered cherries and much, much more will be on the menu. Come, fill a plate and enjoy all the yummy creations.
If there are any items left at the end of the evening take outs will be available.
Sponsors so far for the event include Big Boy of St. Johns, Clinton County Federal Credit Union, Firstbank St. Johns, Grace Haven Assisted Living, Mancino’s, Sparrow Clinton Hospital and St. Johns Internal Medicine.
The Senior Center is also the place to be on Mondays for a great homemade meal. Menus for February include:
Feb 4: Goulash,
Feb 11: Lasagna,
Feb 18: Turkey Casserole and
Feb 25: Swiss Steak. These meals (complete with all the fixings) are available for $5.
The center also serves a sandwich ($3), soup ($2) and homemade pie ($1.50/slice) each Monday.
Take outs are always available – call 224-4257 in advance and it will be ready when you stop to pick it up.
The Clinton County Senior Center is located at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns (just one block north of M21 on the corner of Spring and Walker). While at the center save some time to take a look through the Gift Shop and pick up a calendar so you will find out when other events are held, and meet the new director Paula Wilbourn.
